Easyjet Switzerland

In Spring 1999, EasJet UK announced the take-over of TEA Switzerland, which was then suffering from financial problems. EasyJet UK effectivly took at 40% stake (for CHF 3 million) in the airline, which began franchise services on 1 April 1999. The airline is now owned by private investors (51%) and EasyJet UK (49%).

In Summer 2003, the first of six Airbus A.319-111 of the airline arrived in Geneva. These aircraft can seat up to 156 passengers and therefore are equipped with two over-wing emergency exits. More aircraft will be based at Basle Mulhouse.

It currently operates services to the following destinations: Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, London, Madrid, Nice, Nottingham, Paris and Rome.
