Lions Air is a known helicopter and Pilatus PC-12 operator in Zurich. In May 2003, it took over a former Swisswings / Air Engidina Dornier Do 328.
The aircraft was the fifth Dornier Do 328 being built. It first flew on 14 July 1993 as D-CITA and was delivered to Air Engidina on 21 Ocotber 1993. It was later scheduled to operate for Swissings, however it was stored at Berne from 2002 onwards. After having been auctioned off on 23 October 2003, it was completly overhauled at Dronier’s facility at Oberpfaffenhofen.
The aircraft was used by Lions Air for day trips and event charter flights for companies and travel groups such as spotter trips to the RIAT Fairford. It was sold to the Icelandic City Star Airline on 18 October 2005 and received the new registration TF-CSC.
