RSAF PC-21

In November 2006, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) awarded a contract to Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training and Support to operate the RSAF Basic Wings Course. Pilatus will supply 19 PC-21 trainers under the contract. Deliveries are to begin in June 2008. All aircraft will be based at RAAF Pearce in Western Australia.

The first PC-21 for the Republic of Singapore Air Force 9101 (c/n 109) made its first flight on 21 January 2008, follwed by a second test-flight two days later. It is not necessary to carry temporary Swiss registration during these test-flights. All 19 aircraft for the RSAF will be airliftet in three batches – the first one is scheduled for April 2008 on board of an Antonov 124.
